PORTFOLIO

Kia Sorrento investigating the broken off harmonic balancer -- turned out it had broken off once before and the previous mechanic repaired the broke bolt with a helicoil which was bound to fail again. Turns out this was a recall job by kia which had just expired. The recall was giving out new engines because the only way to repair that correctly was replace the crankshaft which meant rebuilding the engine. Those were a design flaw, and they were failing between 90-170k miles.
